- Who should i inform when moving? Notify your family, friends and any professional organizations you are affiliated with on a regular basis. It’s also important to inform your family doctor, attorney, accountant, and school teachers / administrators (if applicable).
Do I need to remove my clothes from tallboys and dresser draws or do the removalists pick them up whilst they are full?
Yes, it is a good idea to remove all items from dressers, tallboys and
wardrobes prior to the movers arrival. The problem is most furniture is
not made to be moved whilst still full. This can cause your drawers
joints to take on a lot more pressure and become very unstable, draws
wont slide as the rails have been bent from the excess weight. If your
furniture is IKEA furniture, it should always be disassembled as the
timber is chipboard and frays under weight. Other items like filing
cabinets can be bent out of shape completely so we always recommend
relocating furniture with the draws removed and the doors taped shut.
How many days in advance should I book in my furniture relocation?
It really depends on when your looking at relocating, If your thinking
of relocating on a Friday or Saturday it's best to inform your
removalist company right away as most people are looking to relocate
later on in the week as opposed to from Monday to Wednesday. Usually
most leases in Sydney end towards the end of the month so generally
there are alot of people looking for a moving service during the last
week of the month or the first week of the month.

How long will my relocation take to complete? The biggest 2 factors in moving are: the access to a property and how well the furniture and boxes have been packed.
Generally, the closer we can get our truck to the front door means
there is less time wasted walking back and forwards so a ground floor
furniture relocation will easily be completed quicker than a 2nd floor
apartment relocation. Even though there may be elevator access, unless a
lift has been specifically booked for your relocation most of the time
